I thourghly enjoyed reading "A Blues For Annie". It is the story of a young British girl and her adventures in the mid 60s and early 70's counter culture. In her search for identity and meaning, Anne joins a band,travels to Isreal and meets a myriad of interesting people. The story kept my interest all the way through and by the end I wanted to learn more about what happened next in her life.
The book could stand to be better edited, but still I would highly recommended it to anyone interested in the Vietnam era counter culture.

As a teenager in London in the 60's, I was curious about this book.
I started reading the sample on .....and ordered the book straight away....it grabbed me right from the start.
I couldn't stop reading... which is unusual for me...
The author states in the book that the characters are all real, no fiction in it at all....mentions a multitude of 60's London venues, hangouts and musicians....brought back some great memories.
Very different from the usual 'star-spangled' autobiographies. It tells trhe story of a teenage girl, and her imperfect childhood...her escape from her abusive mother, and life in the 60's in London, Israel and Scotland....A million miles away from the usual 'Swinging London' scene.

Very well-written, easy to read, and leaving the reader looking forward to the next book!!
